"Best run government" campaign for the king county executive office

The King County Executive Office engaged Post Occupancy Media in partnership with the University of Washington Communication Leadership program to perform a strategic communications study (PDF) for the "Best Run Government" campaign, targeting the county's 14,000 employees as well as a secondary audience of 2 million county residents. Messaging addresses the county's implementation of Lean management and Continuous Improvement methodologies to achieve progressive outcomes in Equity & Social Justice, Regional Transit, and Climate Change. The study includes a complete audit of existing content; competitive analysis of initiatives by comparable organizations; core values workshop; development of user personas; user journey mapping; touchpoint analysis; and a detailed scope of work for an integrated multi-media campaign with web page architecture, graphic design, copy, implementation, and evaluation. Additional scope items include creating video assets for web distribution.

Vancouver Convention Centre West

Led public relations effort resulting in 18 international design and sustainability awards. First project in AIA history to win the National Honor Award in all 3 categories. Created all press and awards materials, including full case study.


LMN architects Website & Brand Relaunch

Led a full brand and website relaunch engaging a team of web design and SEO consultants. Developed site architecture, brand messaging, and portfolio presentation, and integrated backend with internal databases.

Sound transit university link

Wrote press kit and art directed photo and video set for UW Station working with photographer Kevin Scott. Created video piece for social media distribution. Led efforts resulting in placements in Fast Company and World Architecture News.


LMN Architects 2016 AIA Architecture Firm Award

Led successful 3-year campaign for the highest honor granted to an architecture firm. Worked closely with firm leadership and external colleagues to develop the story of projects, process, and culture, and directed 2 short films.

university of washington Foster School of Business 

Developed original study evaluating social performance of space in collaboration with an environmental psychologist, which has been presented widely and seen as a catalyst for bringing LMN's business school market sector to a national level.


LMN Architects holiday video series

Created series of 8 holiday card videos challenging the conventions of the form and bringing the firm together in collaborative expressions of community and creativity. They have received over 25,000 views and national online press.

"The right to an urban home" web series

Developed slideshow treatment for original documentary series on Seattle's affordable housing crisis, working with activist Cary Moon. Researched history, context, characters, storylines, and social change potential for a web-distributed media project. 


911 Media Arts Center

Developed full communications plan for building membership and outreach with Seattle independent film and media arts non-profit. Edited and art directed quarterly magazine and companion DVD, raising over $25,000 in ad sales and donations. 

Low Income Housing Institute

Wrote and directed short documentary film profiling affordable housing developer Sharon Lee, exploring the human dimensions of her work creating tiny house villages to address Seattle's homeless crisis.


King County Prosecutors Office

Worked with University of Washington team to develop comprehensive social media plan, using Twitter as a communication strategy on the issue of mass incarceration. Identified key performance metrics, sample content, and financial analysis.

In progress: video journalism and branded video for weekly newspaper sold by homeless street vendors. Content to include first-hand experiences of homeless and low-income residents on Seattle housing policy, and emerging community solutions.
